What is Forex?

Foreign exchange trade may be defined as exchange of currency of a country with currency of another country or as trading of currency of a country for currency of another country at a quoted and announced price.

Though forex markets are basically engaged in exchange of currencies, as a result of interest shown to this market type above the expectations, aside from such precious metals as gold and silver, indices relating to petroleum and different other exchanges may also be traded in these markets.

In this market where only large banks and corporate investors used to trade in the past, as a result of development of technology and online computer systems, individual investors have also had the chance to trade on currency parities.

Being the largest and the fastest developing financial markets of the world, forex markets, with their trading volume, have a liquidity which is even greater than the total sum of all global stock exchanges.

Due to large size of forex markets, the probability of manipulation therein is extremely low. Its having a structure greatly moving according to the market dynamics allows also small investors to make direct use of the interbank trading quotations.
